We are the Assuncao brothers! Born in Recife, Brazil, we started our Martial Arts journey at a young age, learning everything we could from Capoeira to Jiu-Jitsu, then onto MMA. After many years, we knew we wanted to share our experience with our Alpharetta community. In 2008, we co-founded Ascension MMA, a family-operated gym led by seasoned mixed martial artists offering diverse classes for all ages.
With decades of competitive experience under our belts, we, the Assuncao brothers, are well respected in both the MMA and BJJ world and our community. The Ascension MMA training system we've created is inspired by a lifetime of martial arts knowledge and experience, unlike any other MMA gym around.
